Moscow is probably the largest venue in the world to host a Latin salsa event. In this case, the Salsa Open Air, a real phenomenon in the Russian capital. Which is really surprising, given that Russia is not a Latin country and salsa in Moscow (influenced by the pace of life in a metropolis) owes little to its Cuban counterpart.

Why was it selected:

Presenting salsa as a means of fighting isolation, encouraging self-esteem and creating bonds, this documentary overflows with energy and rhythm.
Doing a mere half hour session wasn’t in our plans, but there was no other film we could pair it with… Suddenly, an idea came up: what if we added a post-screening salsa class? And with the help of Carlos Fortes and Setubailas… it happened!
