Documentário sobre sistemas alimentares de todo o mundo. De um ponto de vista objectivo, os prós e contras do sistema agro-industrial são analisados, em busca de melhorias e alternativas a esta estrutura que parece enferrujada. Agricultores, consumidores e especialistas de quatro continentes são entrevistados para esboçar os contornos de um futuro alimentar feliz. Filmado em seis países, o filme traz-nos a savana dos maasai, os jardins tropicas de Maiote e as “haciendas” costa-riquenhas. A busca de respostas conduz-nos aos mercados agrícolas do sul de França, faz-nos regressar às raízes à volta de uma chávena de café em Timor Leste, e faz-nos descobrir a filosofia dos guarani do “chaco” boliviano.
Documentary film about food systems around the world. From an objective point of view, the pros and cons of the agro-industrial food system are analysed, looking for improvements and alternatives to this structure that now appears rusted. Farmers, consumers, and experts across four continents are interviewed to draw the contours of a cheerful food future. Shot in six countries, this film brings us through the Maasai savannah, the lush Mahoran gardens and the Costa Rican “haciendas”. The quest for answers leads us to the farmers markets of the South of France, brings us back to our roots as we take the time to think around a cup of coffee in East Timor, and makes us discover the philosophy of the indigenous Guarani people in the Bolivian “chaco”.
